conceived in 1884 / this reduction conceived in 1898 / cast in 1910-1912, bronze, H24.5xW32.8x17.4cm, incised with signature on the lower back, with a foundry mark "F.BARBEDIENNE.FONDEUR" on the lower side, inscribed "25", "Q", "7987/450" inside.

This work will be included in the forthcoming Auguste Rodin catalogue critique de l'oeuvre sculpté, currently being prepared by the Comité Auguste Rodin at Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jerome Le Blay.
